Hi, all. If you could pick any artist to see in concert, money and location aside, who would it be? I've wanted to see Nichole Nordeman, Martina McBride, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. Yeah, I know, totally different types of bands, but oh well. *Grin*
Radiohead
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Mogwai
My Bloody Valentine
Neutral Milk Hotel
Olivia Tremor Control
Sonic Youth (have so many opportunities to catch this band but something happens to screw it up each time)
Kraftwerk
Merzbow
Sunn O)))
Hmmm. let's see.
Van-halen i would love to go and see,
Dire straits,
the original who, except that won't be possible what with Keith Moon and John Entwistle dead all ready.
All the original members of Led Zeppelin, again not possible owing to John Bonhams death in 1980.
Far too many others to mention.
Well I've already seen the artist I'd most like too. That was U2. Believe me, it was definitely worth the wait. I was also lucky to have seen the Police on their reunion tour. Now, it'd be Depeche Mode, Rem, Pink Floyd and perhaps some Christian artists. I know how hard it is to miss a much-desired concert. Be patient, I'm sure you'll all have the chance to see the bands you'd like eventually.
I fantasise about Britt summer festivals. The mud bath in Glastonberry and everything. One day... one day.... But in the short term, just about everyone I desperately want to see and haven't is playing at Splendour in the Grass this August. Fingers crossed for a ticket to that one.
Individually, I could always see Ben Harper or Ani Difranco again, they were both a bit of a spiritual experience for me, and I know how cheesy and crap that sounds.
Oh, and I completely second whoever it was that put in a whistful vote for the Who, original lineup. *sighs for Entwhistle*
Also, my requisite Britt Rock. Kaiser Chiefs, Wombats, Fratellis, little Barry. Come to Aussie-land, right this instant!
I can't think of anyone I'm dying to see that I haven't already. I used to go to a lot of concerts and have seen some great ones. There are some I'd like to see again, but I've seen most I like at least once and some twice and even three times.
I'd love to see rush! I still haven't caught them yet live unfortunetly. As far as other artists, if i had a time machine and a bottomless bank account, I'd like to see the floyd, hendrix, jethrow tul, stevie ray, jeff healy, robert cray, robert johnson, buckethead, coldplay, CCR, cristina, x japan, warrent, skid row, ted nnujet, yes, journey, kansas, pantera, buddy guy, eric clapton, especially with cream, aerosmith, frank zappa, genesis, metallica, maiden, black sabbath, ozzy, the police, zz top, joe satriani, sinatra, santana, smashing pumpkins, system of a down, symphony x, the eagles, the doors, the beatles, diar straits, deep purple, the who, fleetwood mac, bad company, boston, frameshift, king crimson, BB king, elton john, billy joel, green day, blue oyster cult, arrien, A.C.T, deo, led zeppelin, stone temple pilots, pearl jam, winger, wierd al, merillian, eric johnson, miles davis, john coletrain, jordan rudis, guns and roses, the expensive winos, larry carlton, steely dan, the beastie boys, earth wind and fire, the cores, nirvana, the ramones, queensryche, fate's warning, scorpions, sex pistols, the clash, alice in chains, errigant worms, queen, alice cooper, the red hot chili peppers, outcast, motorhead, the who, etc. As far as groups I've already seen that I want to see again, that would have to be steve vai, the rolling stones, the hampsters, and most of all, dream theater!
Pat Metheny, Al Di Meola, Vertical horizon, Alan Holdsworth.
I would deffinatly want to see Iced Earth live, even more so with the return of long time frontman Matt Barlow. There are others, like Kreator, Napalm Death, Twisted Sister, Morbid Angel, Stratovarius, Deicide, Saxon, Grim Reaper, Keel, Overkill, Primal Fear, and many others.
I hve seen most of the people I want to see in concert. Ronnie Brown, Calum Kenidy, The Alexander Brohers, The Dubliners. Theese are folk singers from Scotland nd Ireland. I would like to see Andy stewart to but that's not possible he died a few years ago. Caloden is another one they are Opera singers . They sing a mixture of Scottish Folk songs and Pop music.
I forgot a few, thanks poster for mentioning killswitch engage and al demeola. I'd love to also see the super guitar trio, etc. On the non rock side of things, I wish I could see chopan, lyst, yanni, ludavico anaudi, andrea bochelli, julian bream, Habib Koité & Bamada, and, django rhinehart. plus many others. Man the list just keeps getting bigger! lol.
I've already seen my number one, that being Bruce Springsteen, though I can see him many times and probably not get bored.
Within Temptation and Eisley are probably 1 2 on the "People I want to see" list.
The only ones that I can think of that I wish I could see and will never be able to because original members are dead are Elvis Prestley, The Beatles and Zepplin, but Zepplin might be possible with Jason Bonam touring with them but I am sure I won't be able to afford the tix. hahahaha
I'd also love to catch Barbra Streisand and Tony Bennet, I know old foggies but ya gotta respect the classics.
I have already gone to see my favorite band about 2 years ago, Godsmack. It was great. But I wouldn't mind going to see the following
Van halin /not possible
led zeplin /not possible
the eagles /quite possible and might see them
jack jonson
thats all for now.
Any one herd of the warped tour? I'm probably going jul 19, its going to be fucking awsum! alot of bands are playing there!
I am going to my first concert this summer in tampa. it is boys like girls.
